Rookie Card Information |
|
A mint condition rookie card of one of your favorite athletes is probably your most prized sports card. A true rookie card is the first regular issue card of a particular player from a specific manufacturer. The most valuable rookie cards today are graded rookie cards, but you will pay a major premium for "slabbed cards" that you cannot even actually touch. However, high-grade superstar and Hall of Famer cards from the leading card graders are much easier to sell if and when you decide to liquidate your baseball card collection. The decision to sell a favorite rookie card should not be taken lightly. You could regret selling it for years to come. Rookie cards make excellent gifts (stocking stuffers, too) for your favorite sports fan. If you are lucky enough to buy low (or pull a gem mint card fresh from a pack) and sell high, rookie cards can even make you a profit if they are kept in gem mint condition until you are ready to sell.
